We are the Custom Beer of the Northwoods League

The Northwoods League is a summer collegiate wooden bat league and a proven leader in the development of elite college baseball players. It is also the largest organized baseball league in the world with 20 teams, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind. A valuable training ground for coaches, umpires and front office staff, more than 200 former Northwoods League players have advanced to Major League Baseball, including three-time Cy Young Award winner Max Scherzer (WAS), two-time World Series Champions Ben Zobrist (CHC) and Brandon Crawford (SFG) and MLB All-Stars Chris Sale (BOS), Jordan Zimmermann (DET), Curtis Granderson (MIA).

Based in cities throughout the Midwest, the Northwoods League draws more than 1 million fans annually.  While providing the finest environment for the development of collegiate baseball players is the core of the League’s mission, they are able to accomplish that in venues that put entertainment and the fan experience front and center – including through food and beverage options.  This, coupled with the immense popularity of craft beer in the region, fueled the development of Five Tool ale.

Five Tool is available seasonally at select Northwoods League ballparks and surrounding markets.  To find out where you can get Five Tool ale on tap, visit Our Locations.
